BERKLEY PROMOTES DELA VEGA-CRUZ TO CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR. Berkley International Philippines, Inc., through its President, Felipe R. Diego, announces the promotion of Gina dela Vega-Cruz as Corporate Communications Director. Originally hired in October 2001 as Corporate Communications Director for Berkley and its subsidiaries, dela Vega-Cruz quickly earned her promotion after just five and a half (5 ½) months in the company. Dela Vega-Cruz graduated from the University of the Philippines with the degree of Communication Arts, cum laude. She brings with her a wealth of experience in the whole range of communications work, including but not limited to public relations, copywriting, media networking, advertising and special events management. Dela Vega-Cruz gained said experience from her various stints in the government and private sector, notably, the Philippine Senate, the power, hotel, banking and personal care industries as well as the government television station where Dela Vega-Cruz once served as a newscaster and writer. As Corporate Communications Director, Dela Vega-Cruz is tasked with the planning and implementation of all internal and external communication programs for Berkley International Plans, Berkley International Life and Family First, Inc. She is also expected to formulate strategies that will help fortify Berkley's position as one of the leading pre-need companies in the country today.
