BERKLEY APPOINTS NEW CORPORATE MARKETS MANAGER. Luie C. Dy Buncio, President of Berkley International Plans, Berkley International Life and Family First, Inc., all wholly-owned subsidiaries of US-based Berkley International, LLC, announces the appointment of MR. GABRIEL M. CASTRO, JR. as head for Corporate Markets of Berkley International Life and Plans. Mr. Castro brings with him a wealth of experience as he deftly covered the whole range of target and strategic marketing, development of alternative distribution channels and design of marketing programs. As Corporate Markets Manager, Mr. Castro is tasked to oversee, direct and manage corporate accounts for the company’s Group Life and Pension products. He is further expected to strengthen Berkley’s foothold in the corporate markets through re-invigorated campaigns and innovative approaches which the company has largely been known for. Mr. Castro’s appointment marks his return to the Berkley Group with which he was employed from 1998 to 2000, initially as Training and Sales Support Manager and, subsequently, as New Business Manager. His most recent posting prior to his comeback role was as Assistant Vice-President of a leading pre-need company.
