To kick off its program to help uplift the less fortunate, particularly the children, Berkley International Philippines, Inc., together with exclusive distributor Family First, Inc. (FFI), recently collaborated with SM Foundation by donating boxes of toys, targeting orphanages and other institutions for the indigent as beneficiaries. The toys, mostly brand new, came from the company's marketing personnel who found the project a channel for showing their compassion to the poor.
Berkley is a 35-year old US-based Fortune 500 company that established business in the country in 1997, making the Philippines the hub of its Asian operations. Berkley was recently given a rating of PRS A plus by the Philippine Rating Services Corporation, an affiliate of internationally-renowned Standard and Poor's, attesting to the company's "above-average capacity to meet its financialcommitments."
