Multinational Berkley International, LLC, proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Alan Michael Rafe from New Zealand as President of Berkley International Philippines. In this capacity, he heads the three subsidiaries in the country, namely, Berkley International, Life Inc., Berkley Internal Plans, Inc. and Family First, Inc.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Rafe was Managing Director of Family First, Inc. Hongkong and has worked as well for the US-based mother company where he researched and strategized for expansion of the Family First brand.
Mr. Rafe’s experience is international and vast. While still in New Zealand, he worked for Prudential, overseeing sales management and building a distribution network that increased the company’s sales in Christchurch by 100% in four months, then eventually doubled the company’s sales in New Zealand’s South Island in just six months.
Mr. Rafe was also once the Managing Director of New Zealand Superannuation Services. It was in this capacity that he first developed a successful consumer-focused, non-commission-based sales model for investment products, a model that he will later utilize in his role at Family First.
With a Master of Business Administration from Waikato University
in New Zealand and nearly twenty (20) years of financial services experience,
Mr. Rafe brings with him a robust balance of knowledge and expertise on one
hand and familiarity and understanding of the Philippine operations on the other,
a combination that will ideally bring the Philippine companies to new heights
not only in terms of securing financial investments but also in delivering improved
and better services to the public.
