The poor children of Quezon City will now be introduced to the wonders of computers after Berkley International Plans, Inc. and Family First, Inc. recently donated twenty (20) units to Batang QC Foundation, Inc. The foundation is a brainchild of Quezon City Vice-Mayor Herbert Clarence M. Bautista and seeks to uplift and educate the city’s marginalized youth. Vice-Mayor Bautista, who is also Chairman and President of the Board of Trustees of Batang QC Foundation, sought the assistance of Berkley/Family First after learning that education forms the bulwark of the company’s social responsibility program. The company has previously donated computer units through the Vice-Mayor, paving the way for a strategic partnership to advocate computer-education for the country’s young people. Photo shows the formal turn-over with Berkley/Family First President Alan Michael Rafe shaking the hand of Hero Bautista, who came to represent the Vice Mayor and the Batang QC Foundation, as Berkley/Family First employees look on.
