VALUE-ADDED SERVICE: BERKLEY PROVIDES FREE SMS UPDATES TO CLIENTS

Berkley International Plans and Family First continue to give personalized service to each customer through new and innovative means. By banking on the latest trend and necessity, the pre-need company merges quality service and technology through SMS or short messaging service.

“Almost everyone these days needs, or will be helped, by SMS,” said Patrick Hernandez, Berkley/FFI Assistant Manager for Business Technology and Research. “We are quickly becoming a mobile community and people on the go need updates about almost anything especially when they can’t be physically present.”

With the advanced technology provided by Berkley/FFI’s Information Systems Division (ISD), existing planholders are now able to receive the latest information as well as updates on products and services through their cell phones. Birthday and special occasion greetings are also sent through text messaging.

“All these are for free. It is our way of helping equip our clients with information they might need to make wise business decisions. This innovation is also our way of letting them know we remember them and are grateful for their continued trust. After all, only by innovating can companies these days keep pace with the changing demands of the market. We are out to meet those demands,” Hernandez concluded.
