LIBRENG BAHAY BAGONG BUHAY 3 WINNER, BEYOND WORDS

Racquel Bautista was awestruck.

That was the feeling she exuded the moment she received the call that she had won a brand new 2-storey house at Maia Alta, Antipolo care of Berkley/Family First’s Libreng Bahay, Bagong Buhay 3 promo.

Anyone in her situation would probably feel the same. Winning a house and lot in the reputed “village of the stars” is not necessarily an ordinary prize. But, come to think of it, when has the company given away anything less than ordinary? Never.

So, it didn’t come as a surprise that Racquel was indeed dumbfounded as she walked through the halls of Berkley during her courtesy call. She was even given a tour of the office as she and her entourage, composed of her family, were greeted ever so gleefully at the call center and the training room.

This 22-year old Pampangeña could not, in her quiet elation, utter profuse words of “thanks” but her eyes shone with obvious delight. Her face lit up all the more when she surveyed the model unit at Maia Alta.

“I’ve never won a single raffle in my life,” she shares timidly. “I never expected this.”

She rubbed her pregnant belly as if saying that the child she was carrying was her luck. “Maganda ang climate dito,” she whispers as she looked at her surroundings.

Like a child, she giggled when she learned that she might see matinee idol Jericho Rosales on the jogging path when she moves in. “Grabe. I really didn’t expect this. Ang saya ko,” was all she could muster.

But when we brought her to the actual house, she was overly elated. She walked into every room and seemed to imagine already how she was going to decorate the house. Her parents were behind her and they were grinning from ear to ear.

“Naligaw lang ako sa SM Megamall nu’ng sumali ako sa promo,” she recalled when she finally had time to take everything in. “I sat for a presentation and forgot about the promo when I left.”

“T otoo pala ito…” her voice trailed off as she looked around. The weather cooperated as the sky was painted with streaks of blue and white. It was the perfect view from her terrace.

We let her revel in the beauty of her surroundings as she quietly appreciated what she was seeing, a small smile fixed on her face. As she stood there, pregnant and happy, she was clearly the perfect picture of a Libreng Bahay, Bagong Buhay promo winner.
